Review
This is Zard's first best album. The album contains only singles and most
of those singles have been best-sellers, e.g. Makenaide,
Yureru Omoi and My Friend. The songs have been
reviewed in the Singles Review
section, but I will high-light some songs here.
The first song, Makenaide, belongs to the earlier songs of Zard.
It counts among Zard's best works and is likewise the best selling Zard
single ever, with over 1 million copies sold.
Yureru Omoi, another million selling single, has already appeared
in two other albums and it certainly deserves this third nomination.
Hateshinai Yumeo is not a real Zard song, but a song featuring Zard
as well as other groups including: ZYGG, REV and WANDS. They have released
the song as a special single, but it is nice that Zard put this song in
the album for it is a very cool song.
Kokoro wo Hiraite, well what shal I say. This is such a great song,
if you have listened to the song you will know what I am talking about. One
striking thing: from their four latest albums, including this one,
Kokoro wo Hiraite appeared in three of them. Maybe this is one of
Izumi Sakai's favorite song.
The last two songs are remix versions of the original ones. Eien
now has got a nice piano intro that suits the song better. As for
Unmeino Roulette Mawashite, it doesn't sound much different from
the original and it's still a good song.
Of course, there are so many good Zard songs, they simply don't fit into
one best album. That's probably the reason they have made another best album,
Request Memorial.
